Won 75% of the Time, then $1 Million!

A retired woman from Traralgon, a country town in Australia, who has won about 15 prizes out of the last 20 times she has played Tattslotto, has claimed the $1 million prize, which she won in last Saturday’s draw.

The winner, who uses a computer system to generate her entries, said that her earlier prizes had been from different divisions, but this is the first time she had won a Division One prize.

She plans to use most of the prize money in helping her family,

“Usually I leave my ticket hanging on the fridge for a while, but yesterday I just decided to get last Saturday night’s one checked and was surprised to find out that I had won $1 million,” she said.

This winning entry was submitted at Plaza Lotto in Traralgon.

Australian Lotto prizes are paid in full, in cash, and are tax free!

Ryan Magee £6,462,181.30

Londonderry (Northern Ireland) man, Ryan Magee, had a premonition that he would win a share of the massive £96 million EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 8th February - and today he is Northern Ireland's third biggest National Lottery millionaire, worth almost £6.5 million.

The IT specialist was so sure he would strike it rich that he bought 11 tickets in four different towns - and one of them did the trick. It was one of 16 tickets throughout Europe that shared the huge fortune - and one of six bought in the UK. The computer expert, who is expecting his second child with wife Margaret in August, runs his own servicing and repair business - he matched five numbers and one Lucky Star number to win £6,462,181.30 after the huge jackpot rolled down to the next winning prize level.

Ryan said: "In the week leading up to Friday's draw I was certain I would win. I just couldn't get it out of my head so on the day, while I was travelling on business, I bought tickets in Omagh, Strabane, Coleraine and Londonderry. The winning ticket was the last one of the 11 I checked by which time the numbers were in my head so I knew straightaway that I'd won. But despite my premonitions I still couldn't believe it."

Top of the Magee's shopping list is a pet dog for 10 year-old son, Lee - while Ryan has his eye on a Ferrari, which now has pride of place as the screen-saver on his home computer, and Margaret fancies 'a nice house in the country'.

Tip of the Week

AVOID GEOMETRIC PATTERNS: Back in the days when the Washington State Lottery was a 6 from 44 game, the organizers used to track player number selections. The number selection 1-2-3-4-5-6 was the 10th most popular combination, being chosen by typically 1,200 players every week. So had those numbers come up for a $1 million prize, each "lucky" player would have won just $833.33, which could be paid as $3.47 a month for 20 years or around $400 in immediate cash!
