Version 3.0 Details |

| First
up, Version 3.0 is not (not yet,
anyway) the previously announced
NetLotto Gold. A spell in hospital
put Gold's release way back, so I
decided to get some of its features
out to earlier and this is NetLotto
3.0.
What
has it got that's new? Well, for
starters, it now handles 122 lotteries
world wide, including every lottery
of 5 balls and more in the US,
Canada, the UK and Australia and
every single one of them has its
past results updated every day. This
is thanks to a new RSS feed that
we subscribe to (and pay handsomely
for) but you get its benefits for
free!
(I'd
like to say it's as up to date as
tomorrow. Wouldn't that be nice for
a lottery system? But at least I
can say it's as up to date as today.) There
are new filters in place that remove
number combinations that can be shown
to have a statistically lower chance
of winning for that particular game,
thereby reducing your outlay and
increasing your ROI.
You
can now update past results manually,
as well as downloading from the website.
Of
most importance to us internally,
NetLotto 3.0 has been rewritten with
the newest version of its programming
language, which provides the foundation
we need for the features to be included
in NetLotto Gold.

RIP Sheelah Ryan
 On
September 3, 1988, Sheelah Ryan of Winter Springs
made Florida Lottery history when she won the then
largest Lottery prize ever awarded to an individual
player. Ryan, the 10th FLORIDA LOTTO™ winner
won $55.16 million when she chose the numbers, 3,
5, 19, 20, 27 and 35.
With her Lottery winnings, Ryan developed the Sheelah
Ryan Foundation Inc., a charity that helps many people
in Seminole County - senior citizens, abused spouses,
and women and children struggling to survive. The foundation
also provides scholarships to students in Seminole
County schools.
In 1994, at age 69, Ryan lost her fight with cancer.
However, through the efforts of her family members,
close friends and funds provided by her Lottery winnings,
Ryan's philanthropic vision lives on.
